Answer:

  • For articles, one or two book chapters, and other short pieces, download the PDF from the library resource and upload it in Glow.
  • For books you plan to use in their entirety or several chapters, start by searching the library catalog:

    • ebooks we own: copy the permalink in the "Actions" section of the library catalog record for the ebook. Add the link as an External Link in Glow Modules or Pages. Using this permalink ensures that students who are off campus will be prompted to login to access it.

    • print books we own: use the "Request for Reserve/Streaming" link in the catalog record. We will investigate purchasing the ebook version or scan if needed. Library staff will send you the link to the ebook or the PDF to add to your Glow course.

    • books we don't own: use the Suggest a Purchase form.

About ebooks

Many of our ebooks have digital rights management (DRM), particularly ones from ProQuest Ebook Central. Such management limits the number of pages that can be downloaded or printed based on the agreement with the book's publisher. DRM also limits the number of days a downloaded ebook is accessible on a device.

Please note: we cannot acquire ebooks intended for individual users (such as Kindle ebooks) since they are not licensed for institutional use.
