From the library catalog:

If you search for the item and we don't own it:

  1. Look for the

link when you're in the catalog. Clicking this link will send your search into Williams WorldCat, where you can find other libraries that own the item.
  2. If another library owns the item you need, use the

button to ask to borrow it.  Don't worry about which library owns the item; we'll take care of the details.

If you search for the item and it is checked out:

  1. Look for the "request from interlibrary loan" link in the "Get It" tab.
Clicking on the link will take you to a request form that is prepopulated with the information about the item you want to borrow.

From WorldCat:

Use the "request item" button to link to a prepopulated request form.

Requesting Directly

You can also fill out the request form manually if you already have a citation.  Remember: the more information we have, the better!
